Nkrani Desk Project

Imagine going to school every day without a desk to sit on, or a proper surface to write on. For approximately 5.8 million Ghanaian students in public basic schools, this is their reality. Lack of desks not only hampers their ability to learn effectively but also impacts their writing and overall health. It's time to make a change, and Nkrani needs your support to bring desks to these deserving children.

Needed Support

Donate: Your generous donations will directly finance the production and transportation of desks to schools in Ghana.

Spread Awareness: Share our campaign with your friends, family and colleagues to create a chain of support. By raising awareness about the lack of desks in Ghana's schools, you can motivate others to join our cause and make a difference.

Volunteer: Calling all engineers, carpenters, skilled and all able hands! Your expertise and support are crucial in the design, construction, and distribution of these essential desks.

Mentorship Opportunities: Are you an educator, artist, or passionate about empowering young minds? Consider becoming a mentor for these students.

Plan

Our team of passionate volunteers, including dedicated actuaries, analysts, teachers and students will work tirelessly to investigate the root cause of the problem and ensure the solution really requires the design, build and distribution of quality desks. We would focus on selected schools in the region with the most deficit. But we cannot do it alone - we need your help!

Ultimate Objective

At the end of this project, our goal is to first empower volunteers to recognize themselves as catalysts for change - we are the change we seek. Subsequently, we intend to nurture transferable skills in the areas of this project, particularly focusing on design thinking and solution generation. Ultimately, we hope to build and provide desks for students in the identified schools.
